It was good to take a brief respite from our gallery tours and catch up on some reading discussions and interesting videos in last week's class. By now you should all be finishing up your 2nd blog on the Secret Life of Objects exhibition at Midway Contemporary Arts.  Remember to do a little detective work and find some external information about the exhibition or the works to add to your discussion, as well as to read and post comments on at least two of your classmates' blogs.
After a brief classroom check-in we will be off again this Thursday, this time for a tour of the Walker Art Center.  You may want to do a little advance preparation and take a look at the Walker website or read about  Haegue Yang: Integrity of the Insider, the exhibition that is currently on view at the Museum.  Our guide will be directing us on a tour of Modern and Postmodern works in the collection, and I recommend that you take notes for next week's blog assignment.  Sorry, there is no photographing in the gallery, but you can always sketch and/or find images you need for your blogs at ArtsConnected or on the web.
